2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jahills (151) - Cambridge (Hobart), AUSTRALIA - NOV 9, 2003
Quite rich, sweet, little bit of grainy earthy coffee flavour. one of those beers that you can enjoy one of but wouls struggle on the 2nd or the third. Too rich, too sweet, but nice complex flavours all the way though. Give it a go definately.

A bit thin with a short flavour from toffee and chocolate.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jerohen (1863) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2012 Clear brown colored, brown head. Aroma and flavour of malts and rye, caramel and coffee. Lasting bittersweet finish. Magnificent Dunkel, especially considered the ABV.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 caesar (3943) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2003
Clear ruby dark color, creamy large head. Aroma is caramel, coffee and toffee. Taste is like cold coffee almost, mocca with sugar on top. But very good!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Voivod (304) - Como, ITALY - JUL 14, 2003
Deep brown colour, nice head, quite persisten. Caramel and chocolate aroma. The flavour is quite sweet, with liquorice, chocolate and caramel traces. A touch of bitterness in the finish Well balanced, really light and drinkable.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Choos (509) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 14, 2003
Lightly malty, sweet background flavours of chocolate and roasted caramel. Really easy drinking with a slightly sweet aftertaste. At 3.8% in a 500ml bottle you could drink a few of these in a night without imparing your driving. Great first drink of the night as well if you are moving onto heavier Dunkels or Bocks.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hp38 (4) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2003 does not count
This is a nice "light" beer. Nice taste but lacks a bit of depth. A dark beer for hot summer days.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Christian (9697) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2005 Dark brown. Medium sized, short-lived head. Malty nose with chocolate and roast caramel. Feels and tastes weak, which of course isn’t a lie, but it does so in a very pleasant way.
I can imagine why Czech dissidents would sit up all night discussing politics with this kind of beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sully (1378) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2003
A beautiful burnt chocolate malt aroma as soon as you open the bottle. Low hop that is nevertheless compensated by the palate. A final sweet finish with a subtle lacing. I am impressed by the coppery colour of the beer that somehow seems to compensate for the lack of alcohol mouthfeel. This is the best midstrength beer I have tasted
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Hansen (5449) - Assentoft, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2003
Have they mixed this beer with cola?? It's appearance is like cola, and the aroma and flavor is mainly sweet, perhaps a little burnt caramel.
