Produced from special dark malts, which is why even its foam is dark.

0.5l bottle. Pours a really dark ruby body with a tiny dark beige head leaving big lacings. Aromas are some what sweet with thin roasted malts, hints of flower water and some caramel. The first few times I’ve tasted this I’ve had it refrigerator-cold. Then I think the body gets to thin and watery. In room temperature the body was surprisingly decent, at least for a 3.8 percenter, only a bit watery in the ending. Tastes lightly roasted malts and a mild dry sweetness with a medium dry finish. Not to exciting in any way, but quite refreshing and easy to drink.

Quick-review: Roasted malts, bitter chocolate. Some spices and vanilla aswell.. Good mouthfeel, but drops in the middle. Refreshing, easy to drink. Alcohol is not king, well-crafted beer is!

Canned, 50 cl. Pours dark but clear and red beer. Forms a nice beige head. Aroma: Malt, small feeling of smoke and soil. Taste: Lightly sweet and bitter. Little metallic. Palate: Light bodied beer with sticky and thin texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish.

Flaske 50 cl. Brun farve med rřdelig skćr, beige hoved som hurtigt falder. Aroma er brćndt malt og sřdme. Smagen er ristet og karamel met sřdlige toner. Lidt tynd og vandig med lille bitter finale.

0,5 l can from the supermarket. A cheap beer brought for chinese take-away. Thumps up for the low abv. (3,8 %) Red-brown colour. Malty aroma with notes of caramel and hops. The flavour is dominated by malt with some sweetness. Maybe a bit watery, but very good value for money.

nothing standout, ok for a cheap dark beer... tastes sweet with maybe a bit of tomato sauce with a mild coffee note, nice dark colour to it, head doesnt last long though, i enjoyed this beer much more the last time that i had it,

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2011 Cheap and tasty beer. A bit too sweet, in the other hand the taste is really warm and rich. (New rating, not so tasty or rich after all!)

50cl bottle from an Albert supermarket, Prague, only 50c. Nice dark beer, plenty of flavour despite it being only 3.8%

Brown colour with plenty of light brown head. Aroma of caramel malts and grains. Flavour is sweet. Roasted malts and grains with a little bit of caramel. Tasty beer with an acceptable price tag.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2010 500 ml bottle in Germany. Is a dark non see through chestnut color. Has a very full light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt carmel that tingels the nose. Taste has hints of smoke with strong nugget, and earth. Palate is very smooth and you almost miss it if your catch is not fast enough. A pleasure to drink. Very nice!
