COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Produced from special dark malts, which is why even its foam is dark.

Can. Lots of light brown thin head. Color is dark brown and clear. Faint aroma with malty dark sugar. Taste is dominated with caramellized malts and dark syrup. Still quite light. Very drinkable yet single dimensional and simple.

50 cl bottle, pours dark amber with a decent head, aroma is light roasted, taste is slightly sweet consisting of roasted malt and coffee, abrupt finish, pretty boring.

The bottle I drank was as flat as the Great Plains, and therefore didn’t satisfy despite the palatable flavor. I had a similar experience with the Kostritzer Schwarzbier; perhaps there is something about the Central European black lager style that I don’t understand, or maybe it doesn’t export well.

0,5 can. Clear mahogany, big tan head. Faint roasted malt sweet aroma. Sweet milky and malty taste, with caramel and toffee notes. Light carbon and body.

Used to be my favourite beer many years ago. Now that my taste for beer has ostensibly developed, it doesn’t feel quite so tasty anymore. Very sweet (apparently artificially sweetened), a bit smoky, but still quite watery. Yet is often the best beer in many bars with not so good selection...

I remembered this as very meaty, but it was thinner than I remembered. Maybe my taste has just developed. Not a bad beer it’s both dark and fresh but nothing special.

Bottle. Amber dark color body with nice, brownish head. Round caramel and malty taste. Sweet caramel aroma. Some bitterness.

I guess I’m not a dunkel guy, but drinking this out of a can while stumbling across prague was a less than enjoyable experience. Unpleasantly sweet, with some burnt brown sugar and cheap maple syrup.

Pours a small light tan head. Dark in color. I get aromas of honey and faint caramel. It’s smooth to drink, and the honey tones is not overwhelming at all. It’s one of the best lagers I’ve had til’ now.

Dark brown coloured. Aroma: malty, sweetish with hints of chocolate and some liquorice. Flavour: Malty, sweetish(hvidtřlsagtig), chocolate, liquorice with a hint of smoke. Medium-bodied and smooth to drink.
