Produced from special dark malts, which is why even its foam is dark.

Dark copper, long lasting white head, laces nicely. Caramel and metallic smell. Palate without any edges or graininess to it maybe a touch thin for my taste. Flavour fairly simple roasted malts.

Clear dark beer, small head that dissipate very quickly, standard carbonation, sweet coffee cocoa aromas, flavorsome, but sadly a watery aftertaste, and not too much to remember after. The only particularity is that actually for a dark beer the alcohol content is rather low which increase the number of beer you can have, but not the quality of them.

50cl can. Neutral nose. Dark chocolate color and light brownish head. Balanced body with nice crisp bread taste. Smooth and enjoyable but not all the way.

500 ml can. Pours ruby brown with a large foamy espresso head. Aroma is pleasant but litlle bit weak with some roasty and caramel malt and some metallic notes. Taste is sweet with caramel & roasty malt and raisins. Low carbonation, medium bodied and watery but smooth mouthfeel. A great and well-balanced everyday beer with a good availability.

dark amberish red pour, with a light tan head, poor retention. sweet roasty carmel aroma. light body with a nice roasty malt and slight caramel flavor, quite light for a fairly dark beer. veery drinkable.

On tap and in the bottle on many occasions. Another decent Czech beer from a mega-brewery. Nice brown colour, sweet smell. Sweet taste and some caramel. Pleasant after-taste. Another totally unspectacular, available everywhere, Czech beer.

The can seems to cause a metallic taste. Too much sweetness to be enjoyable.

dark brown color. Foamy tan head that dissapears after some minutes. Not that much aroma, just a hint of chocolate. A sweet surprisingly light taste with an elegant spicy finish that goes on and on. You got to love czech pils!

Appearance with brown (almost black) color and medium head. Aroma of toasted malt (small). On the palate, the toasted malt is the main flavor. It is a light beer, easy to drink!

500ml bottle. Large initial head, dark brown appearance. Toasty malt aroma. Smooth, nutty, chocolate tastes. Very sweet, also too much so. Slightly unpleasant after taste.
