2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a dark amber-brown with a finger and a half of off white head.
Nose is uninspiring. Wet cardboard and some caramel.
Flavour is much the same. Lots of caramel, a hint of smoke, an interesting milk chocolate note, a sweet finish.
Pretty boring, but it’s not bad. Just not good.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A reasonable dark lager style beer. Nothing that interesting about it, has some good malt flavours but is a little thin on the palate. Good bitterness, lighter side of the Dunkel style for me.

An interesting beer. Very sweet and a good mix of carbonation and smoothness. Too sweet overall, I think.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle from a local supermarket in Helsinki, Very dark reddish brown colour, large fizzy mostly diminishing off-white head, fair lacing. Aroma of dark bread, molasses, toast and a hint of coffee and floral hops. Taste is initially quite balanced but a bit on the sweet side, turning into a slightly bitter finish with a slightly astringent feel. Lively carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Passable dark lager, the aroma and flavour could be more intense and it would even be good. Didn’t like the very mild hopping either, but I can certainly understand why many people who are not into "beer" as it is known here generally like it. Probably not a bad thing to drink with some pork-related dishes.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
The beer has a reddish brown color, like cola. The foam is almond colored and not very abundant. The beer looks delicious. The smell has some roasted barley, but it isn’t that strong. The bitter sweetroast aroma is nice. The taste is very mellow and has the same bittersweet roast flavor as the smell has. There is a tiny hoppy undertone. The palate isn’t that great, the beer misses some fizzling.

For me it’s a classic among czech corporation-made beers. I like to buy a bottle from time to time. Everybody knows it, so needs no description.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: very little of that; a bit of roastiness and a whiff of honey.
Appearance: black, opaque, head large, lasts for about a second.
Taste: mildly sweet, marginally bitter.
Palate: body pretty light; carbonation fizzy at first, quickly fizzles out; finish a little astringent, mildly sweet.
Overall: if they inverted the beer to water ratio, this could probably be a nice drink. It’s still more fun than pure water but a bit too homeopathic to have any effect on the senses.

Can. Aroma of roasted caramalts. Taste is balanced, but really caramelly in the finish, very much reminds me of a Polish non-alcoholic beer called Karmi. Pretty ok dessert beer, this one.

Prague-07. Black-red colour with low head. Has some nice malt notes, but could use much more.

Quite a nice dunkel. But overall impression; nothing special. It lacks body, but has a nice head.
