Can 0.5 l, from Interspar (Ljubljana). Clear dark brown with a touch of red color liquid. Average tan head. Body light to medium, medium to high carbonation. Light sweetness and bitterness. Aroma of coffee and caramel. Watery, drinkable and not bad but too carbonated for my taste.

Typical Czech cerne, the low-alcohol Czech counterpart of Münchener Dunkel. Stable head with light beige colour (not self-evident even in this style as this indeed indicates dark malts being used), colour a bright dark bronze. Agreeable aroma of caramel, brown bread, bitter chocolate, biscuit and bayleaf. Caramel malt taste with slight roasted bitterness, thin and bit watery mouthfeel (due to low alcohol content), light flowery hops in the finish.

Dark brown beer with tick light brown foam. overly sweet scent of burnt malt, taste and palate reminds me of root beer. Bottom line: completely average beer.

(Bottle) Clear dark brown with loose tan head. Subtle aroma with notes of chocolate, toffee and perhaps coffee. Light to medium body with medium carbonation, with some stickiness. The taste is quite light for a dark beer; it starts with some fairly refreshing tang balanced with some chocolatey malt. The mid palate steadily develops a toffee / sugar sweetness which subsides before it becomes cloying, to be replaced with some vaguely chocolate notes and some very subtle bitterness. It’s easy drinking, un-complex, not great.
