2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Quite rich, sweet, little bit of grainy earthy coffee flavour. one of those beers that you can enjoy one of but wouls struggle on the 2nd or the third. Too rich, too sweet, but nice complex flavours all the way though. Give it a go definately.

It has a pleasant look about it, with a small lacy head. Quite toffeish but I agree as far as dark beers go it is quite light - but in the same token - rich. Not bad at all. cheers

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Looks good, this brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma was so much like boiled vegetables that I couldn’t focus on the rest. Flavor is mild, light roasted malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel and low on bitterness in finish. (051104)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not the most exciting dark beer from Czech lands. Quite low in alcohol (I think it’s even under 4%), so that limits the flavour. Very ovaltinish indeed, kinda like a Belgian dubbel with half the alcohol. The svetle is better.

This is a nice "light" beer. Nice taste but lacks a bit of depth. A dark beer for hot summer days.

(dutch ratebeer meeting) Smell is not great; hoppy, bit skunky. Clear, dark coloured with a thin head. Taste is malty. Thin and smooth palate. I can't be too excited about this one.

Terific fruity aroma. Tones of mollasses but a bit too much like lolly water to me. Drink as a novelty but thats about it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Chestnut color with a nice beige head. The taste is sweet caramel malty. Rather complex malt pattern. Maybe a little thin on the palate.

Bottle. Clear brown colour with off-white head. Interesting sweet malty aroma. Dryish. A bit sour. Nutty. Notes of caramel as it warms. Sweet malty flavour. The sweetness resembles a bit the one found in the Danish ‘julehvidtřl’ beers, although not being as profound.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark amber color. Light aroma of malt, caramel, fudge. Weak body, with a sweetish taste, almost just caramel, and not bitter enough.
