Nice looking 500ml bottle and label. Creamy, beige head over an appealing deep mahogany and scarlet gown. Dark malty aroma. Watery. Medium bodied. Brittle caramel flavour with grainy notes. More sweetness and some yeastiness in the finish. Becomes far too sweet half way through the glass.

5o cl bottle. Ruby/brown, fine head. A bit sweet, rather thin and watery at first, but it get a bit more of a body after a while. But you hardly expect a lager drinker to wait until the beer is warm, do you?

30cl draft in Prague airport: poured brown with a beige head. Mild caramel, bread notes. Flavor is light caramel. Somewhat watery finish. Easy drinking. I could handle a few of these. Not bad.

Cheap dark lager from Prague Tesco - 25p. It’s malty sweet. The low abv keeps it light and clean and the carbonation cuts through the sweetness. But it’s a lifeless and characterless beer. Drinkable enough, but not great.

(Bottle on 2008-06-11) Dark reddish brown. Clear. Small white head. Malty sweet nose. Sugary palate with some carbonation. Tiny amount of hops. Syrup. Hints of burned malts. Boring and too sweet.

This beer looks great - it has nice deep dark brown color with beige head. That’s exactly how good dark beer should look like. But taste of the beer definitely fails to satisfy the promise made by the appearace. It’s flat and reveals total lack of any vision of the autors. If not vision, it would be good to have at least some idea in which direction to go. In my opinion, the beer lacks even that...
