Very nice smooth bock-like pivo with nice malty character. This dark beer featured a light hop aroma overtaken by its abundant dark malt flavor.

This is like the Czech hockey, smooth full of body with a firm head.Malty, dark but a cerain sweetness combinede with the bitterness.

A beautiful burnt chocolate malt aroma as soon as you open the bottle. Low hop that is nevertheless compensated by the palate. A final sweet finish with a subtle lacing. I am impressed by the coppery colour of the beer that somehow seems to compensate for the lack of alcohol mouthfeel. This is the best midstrength beer I have tasted
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 WYSIWYG (20) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 13, 2004
This is one I would certainly purchase again, providing I can find somewhere that sells it - it’s a beer that is probably difficult to find places that sell it in Melbourne. It is almost (but not quite) Guinnesslike - hence its high rating with me.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Blom (809) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2010
Brown with a fine grey head. The aroma is malt dominated with notes of roasted malts and caffe latte. The flavour is both refreshing and complex at the same time: cold caffe latte notes dominate. Excellent.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 blackbock (100) - Shoalhaven NSW, AUSTRALIA - OCT 31, 2009
(bottle) Poured perfectly, a deep ruby-brown colour with ample head.
For a beer of only 3.8% alc/vol this one had plenty of body. There was a definite roastiness present, and the hopping was spot on. This is one I could come back to many times if available.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Shaney (1735) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 16, 2012
#259

Really light one, good taste for the little amount of alcohol in it. I recommend it!
