Doggythedog (966), Split, Croatia Jul 17, 2008 First post RBESG08 tasting at Ogi’s place. Golden colour, lively carbonation. Thick medium sized white head. Honey mingling with some fresh vegetabley-herbal hop in the nose. Some grainy breadiness too. Light honeyish taste, fine enough, with some saazy? dusty herbal hop. Notes of metal. Slightly harsh. Weak but persistent hoppy aftertaste. Had worse.
sayravai (3045), Helsinki, Finland Jul 23, 2008 (Canned, my rating #3000) Clear, paleish golden with a smallish, bubbly-foamy head and very little lace. Buttery-bready-malty nose with some grassy-aromatic hops. Sweetish, buttery maltiness in the flavor, with diacetyl hints, and a slightly harshly bitter, mildly herby-aromatic finish. Light to medium body with medium carbonation and some acidity. A drinkable Czech pils, but nothing special. ogivlado (2244), Zagreb, Croatia Jul 21, 2008 Bottled(500ml). –Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, herbal and light brady nose. Light sweet malty, hoppy and grainy taste with salty bready notes. Medium carbonation and a bit watery palate. sir_Pino (515), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Jul 20, 2008 No 321

Bottle greenibsh brown, 500 ml, 11P
Appearance: Pours bright golden and perfectly clear body, carbonation is visually low to normal. Head is initially medium in size and than slowly decreasing, pillowy froth and regular in texture, off - white in colour, there is some lacing, but still not much, body looks thin.
Aroma: Milk, chalk, honey, slightly alcoholic, a bit yeasty, a bit different than the majority of standard quality Bohemian Pilseners.
Flavour: Front is accidic and a bit salty, than what comes is grainy moderate taste mixed with some hints of honey, in the aftertaste the bitterness comes to play a certain role with some mild herbal notes. Generally balanced and mild without any taste dominating over the whole flavour. Finish duration is short. White bread impression with flour.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation is soft to moderate on palate, finish feel is lightly alcoholic, a bit bitter, accidic and rusty with mild grainy aftertaste and slightly bitter tongue.
harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 10, 2008 500ml bottle from Plzen Tesco. Golden lager, thick cream head. I quite like the 5% premium Kozel in Wetherspoons and to be honest this is quite similar. It’s an ok lager, no great flavour, but nothing bad and some hop bite on finish.
