Has a smoothly bitter taste, a soft malt and hops scent and sparkles perfectly. This highly malted beer is considered to be an excellent lager both at home and abroad
This beer is also brewed at "Plzensky Prazdroj (SABMiller)" in Plzen, Czech Republic.

Keg at U Černého Vola Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. Bright yellow coloured pour with a big sticky white head. Aroma is subdued pils grains, grain store, little nobel hop. Flavour is composed of quite sweet pils grains, light honey sweetness, light spicy nobel hop, Palate is semi-sweet, highish carbonation. Little lingering caramel and apple. Pretty inoffensive.

It’s a pretty standard lager. Pours clear gold. A little bit of a earthy taste with some malts, not much bitterness but a nice enough palate and some carbonation. Easy beer to drink, I wouldn’t mind drinking it just as a standard drinking beer, though it’s nothing special.

Sometimes I think I may just be the last guy on ratebeer who actually digs a decent pilsner. While this isn’t great, it is a decent Czech pilsner. It has the two things I dig in a pils: the delicate flowery hop (which lets face it should & could be fresher) & that back of the throat briskness. I like this style at the end of session, after a bunch of hop bombs or tight stouts.
