Beautiful aromas of sharp malt with hints of doughy bread smells. Pillowy head dissapates but leaves a good filigree. Sharp maltiness is well balanced and strong, astringent finish puckers the mouth slightly. Rough around the edges comparded to Urquell or Budvar, but a fine beer none the less. Will try again.

A decent Bohemian lager. I am not a lover of lagers, but I’ve yet to find a Czech lager that ends up down the plug hole. This is a firm bodied and very smooth pilsener, with touches of polished honey. The balance between bitter and sweet is so perfect, the whole thing so well structured, that drinking is easy, pleasurable and very satisfying. There are little dots of lemon, moments of grassy honey, and a long lingering, gentle Saaz finish.

I’m having this to wash the taste(or lack of taste) of a coors light out of my mouth, so maybe I’m biased, but this seems a delightful lager. nice golden colour with a dense white head. doughy malt aroma and flavour. nice rounding hops.

This is a very good pils. It has a strong malty aroma. It is smooth on the palate and has a fairly pungeant, pronounced hop (saaz) bitterness with a faint saaz hop flavour and little or no hop finish. It is a well rounded pils with no flaws and no twist.

A good head produced for a lager, makes for a good initial appearance. The aroma and flavour is slightly sweet. Overall a pleasant tasting continental beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale, minimal head, non-lasting. Flavour quite fruity, apples, honey... sweetness lingers on the palate far more than any bitterness, though not unpleasant. Truly easy to drink, an excellent Czech Pils, as expected from Kozel.
