2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden colour with a tinge of red, pours a decent head but doesn't seem to last. Not a lot of aroma but some hop characters. Malty taste with just a hint of bitterness on the finish. Went down easy enough.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Soft hoparoma. Hoppy, grassy flavor. Bitter, hay-like aftertaste. Not the best of Czech pilseners, but decent quality.

This reminded me of Urquell, which is always a good thing, but there's enough going on to make it distinctive all by itself. A little sweeter yet not overpoweringly so. Nice appearance as well. All in all a nice package for a pilsner.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well when drinking this I starting off comparing it to PU, but they are nothing alike - PU has a bite, I found kozel to be generous on the malt (a honey light malt)and to go down very smoothly. Very happy with this effort. cheers

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark amber color with a nice creamy head. Aroma is clearly toffee, sweet and very nice. Flavor is a little thin, some citrus. Almost no bitterness.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear yellow with a moderate head. Fruity flowery (grassy?) aroma. Hoppy bite to it. Not bad, not really to my taste though.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color, not so stable head. Slightly malty aroma. Weak body with malt flavour. Not as rich as Budweiser Budvar or Staropramen. Hops are missing. Nice malt aftertaste. Nothing great but drinkable. Smooth on the palate.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted in "U Kozla", Prague. Deep golden color and classic mountainous snow-white head. Aroma is fruity and malty, Palate is wonderfully citric, lemonish with hints of caramel malt and bread. Dry and slightly fruity (apricots, peaches) finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2004 Re-rate: Much less sweet and more hoppy than i first thought it was. Fine pilsener. Original rate: Golden/orange coloured, small head. Sweet aroma, bit weird. Pretty sweet for a pilsener, not balanced. As caesar, i prefer the svetly.
