Has a smoothly bitter taste, a soft malt and hops scent and sparkles perfectly. This highly malted beer is considered to be an excellent lager both at home and abroad
This beer is also brewed at "Plzensky Prazdroj (SABMiller)" in Plzen, Czech Republic.

Can, 27/5-06. Light yellow colour, with a white thin foam Aroma: Lots of hops and a smouth bitternes. Lots of bitter hops and a anonymius maltyness. Unbalance(?). Short sweet bitter finish, light body.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2006 [ Canned ] Golden colour. Oh-oh...good old Czechish rich butterscotch dominates the aroma. Pretty much Co2, with a diacetyl backbone, almost on the edge of being buttery. The butterscotch however, prevents other flavour notes to step forward. Not much bitterness. Those of us who enjoy diacetyl have a genuine sesion beer here!

Bottle (500ml). Bright refractive gold with a big fizzy-foam lasting plug of white head. Aroma of scorched straw and grass, some light hops, something sharp that I don’t like much. Taste - not bad, really, the scorched character from the nose is replaced by a light honey-sweet oat grain taste and some dry floral hops (faint, but there) - this is actually nicely malty. Mouthfeel is lightly flat, lightly syrupy, decent body - apart from the quick finish and the odd nose, not too bad for a eurolager.

my first bohemian pilsener. not a very well regarded category i see. and with good reason. this was sharply bitter. so bitter it even ruined the nose. lagering yeasts actually dominated the flavor. body is pretty pathetic, this is like all those czech/polish beers: utterly one-dimensional.

50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Golden clear colour with a wonderful white head. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of hops. Sweet flavour of malt combined with a lightful touch of fruit from the hops. Ends up little but nice bitter.

Bottle 50cl. Poured light gold in colour, with a small, fizzy head that quickly disappeared. Highly carbonated. Vague aroma of hops and grass. Sharp hoppy almost metallic flavour, with a bitter hoppy finish. Tasty, flavoursome lager.

Appears a light gold with a small white film that is scattered about the glass. Smell is of corn syrup, flowers, honey, and slight maltiness. Taste is of the same aromas. Nothing great jumping out of this. Mouthfeel is sugary water with slight fizz. Drinkability…nothing great…what’s the point of the yeast in this one? It’s just like diluted sugar water.
