Can - There is a DEFINITE between the Czech and the Hungarian Kozel. Sadly, the non checz ones are trash. So the original one: Clear golden in colour with a medium head. Taste comes with the usual bohemian grassy / bready /cripsy flavour although this one is not that sweet like the rest. There is an Ok bitterness within.

(Can, 0.5 l, 20150730) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and sweetness. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was mildly bitter. A thin pale lager with some character.

Bottle 50cl. Clear pale to medium golden, good frothy white head, half-way lasting, good lacing; malt aroma, grain, grass, bit soapy; fresh taste, medium sweet and bitter, light malty, bit metallic; medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste sweetbitter, bit harsh and dusty on the palate; average Pilsner.

0,5 Dose irgendwo aus Rumänien. Goldgelbe Farbe, sehr grobporiger Schaum der schneller weg war als ich ein Foto machen konnte, sehr wenig Kohlensäure. Riecht minimal malzig, hopfig. Schmeckt auch so, eventuell leicht süßlich

Can. Tried whilst on holiday in Turkey. Golden and clear. Slightly dry but not as much flavour as I expected. A bit on the thin side but quenched my thirst on a very warm day.

50cl bottle from a small shop in Kaplice, Czech. Pours clear, rather pale golden with a white head. Mild grainy aroma with light herbal and grassy notes and hints of ripe fruits and cooked vegetables. Moderate sweet with a fairly light bitterness. More watery and less flavour and less bitterness than the 11° and Premium. Fairly drinkable, but closer to standard pale lager than Czech pilsner.
