On Tap black hue small off white head with short retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is coffee and it is the dominate flavor, was hard pressed to detect vanilla. This is a malt heavy & roasted with light hops and low bitterness finish was dry. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Tap. Pours clear black with a medium, fizzy light tan head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and coffee malt, vanilla, earthy hops and dark fruity esters. Flavor is malt dominant with light vanilla, dark fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with thin off white, khaki colored head. Aroma brought notes of big vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts, slight hints of earthy spice, touch of grainy caramel and toffee as well. Taste is a fairly nice mix of dark chocolate and roast up front, some nice vanilla but not over the top, hints of coffee, earth and spice, finishing fairly sweet but dry.
