Draft. Red-brown color, white head. Aroma of roasted malts. Caramel malts, light hoppy tones in flavor, but watery. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, 5.0%. Vinous and farty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is malty, farty, and vinous. Has a faint tart note in the finish, but not enough to be a problem.

Very malty flavour. Nice Brown Color, weak foam. Not much Aroma while drinking, bearly palate. Taste quite weak, as missing malt and Hop flavour ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Test vom 1.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,7,7,8,9,7 - 7,45

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bierkrug (2108) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen (In USA), Bavaria, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2011
1000 ml bottle at home in Germany. With much thanks to Holy for this one. Like a lot of Dunkels in Rhineland Pfalz they are not so dark as other parts of the country in a lot of cases. Pours kind of an amber brown color with a hugh beige head. Aroma is salt, copper and malt. Taste is roasted malt and again copper. Has some sweetness as well. Palate leaves your mouth dry an coppery. This beer could be much better.
