Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy, deep blond color; big thick head. It has some aroma of sugars, of wheat and very light parmesan cheese. It has a dry mouthfeel, with a light wheat character and a touch of citrus fruits. It’s extremely cold. The final is drier than usual. Ordinary.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy light amber colour, white head. Aroma is very fruity, apricot, tropical fruits, hint of banana. Flavour is very fruity again, apricot, tropical fruits and melon, a hint of wheat, a bit sour. Sticky mouthfeel, bit cloying fruity sweetness. Medium bodied.

Tap. Banana and clove aroma. Cloudy yellow-orange color with nice big head. Wheat malt flavor with mild-moderate banana clove flavor - not extremely sweet and fruit/spice flavors are subdued. A nice Hefe but on the subtle side.

SHIG (2710) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - DEC 22, 2007
Draught: Poured a copper hazy color with a white head. The aroma was yeast and fruit. The taste was again yeast and fruit, it had a soft hefe bite to it. Over-all pretty balanced in this respect for a Hefe.

Rune (5039) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2007
300ml von Fass at Blesius Garten, which houses the brewpub. Hazy orange head. Some persistent white foam that left lacing on the glass. Aroma of cloves and banana. The flavour is dominated by sweet, late banana with a yeasty touch in the ending. Slightly watered. Very refreshing after a long walk from Trier (Weinort Olewig, 12.09.2007).

Hazy golden coloured. Classic wheaty notes, but quite weak. Quite yeasty. Very sparkling. Thin. Short lasting finish.
