On tap, very strong banana flavor throughout, refreshing, taste that lasted long. Creamy, wheaty, great!

On tap at Kraftbrau. Nice, typical hefeweizen, featuring a cloudy yellow-orange body and nicely balanced banana and spicy esters to complement the grassy wheat malts. Bready notes complement the wheat. Refreshing, smooth beer.

Pretty sweet banana aroma, but not as thick and authentic as the better hefes. Some sugar and salt in the aoma. Head dies immediately. Super gold colored. Bitter, salty and sweetness in the flavor. No clove or real pepper.

On tap at Kraftbrau: A new beer, they had not tried a straight german hefeweizen before, so I was told by the bartender. I found this bier to be very traditional, showing all the characteristics of a good german hefe. Heavy banana, spice, citrus nose. Spicy and tart flavor with a slighty bitter undertone. While thin-bodied, it had a nice soft mouthfeel and lingering banana nut bread aftertaste. The brewer did this one right, a good example of style.
