COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Guinness style Irish dry stout is heavy on the roasted barley flavor, with a little more mouthfeel than the original. Served with a nitrogen tap for that nice, creamy head.

On tap at the brewery. Deep, opaque and black with a thick tan wrung for the head. Aroma mimics the standard brewpub formula for dry stouts, with chocolate annotations trying to cover up something that’s suspiciously similar to dog poop. Flavor’s saying "if you’ve had one, you’ve had them all." Straight forward semi-sweet chocolate, thinning, and turning astringent. Prickly carbonation. Pass.

On draft at the brewery, this brew poured a large sized head of brown colored frothy fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind an opaque dark red brown colored body with no visible carbonation and an excellent sheet lacing. Beautiful looking brew. The aroma was malty and hoppy with dark brown malty notes that were roasted and nutty. The mouth feel was smooth and flat initially with a mild tingly in the finish like it was on nitro but we verified it was on CO2. The flavor was flat and hoppy with a mild malt note.

On tap at Kraftbrau. Large tan head that mostly diminished, excellent lacing, fine-very large sized bubbles, uncarbonated, opaque, and a reddish brown hue. Malty and hoppy aroma. Malty and mildly hoppy flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body.

Draught at Kraftbrau Sept 27th 2003. Cask conditioned. Very dark amber. Okay dark brown head head. Slight meatiness to it. Burnt smoky robust flavours. Very good. Compairs to the Gahan House Sydney Street Stout from Prince Edward Island I had recently. Cheers to Vale for being a great hostess that night, made my trip to Kalamazoo quite enjoyable.

On tap: Pours with the darkest brown head I've ever seen. Aroma of scotch and soy sauce. The body is smoky and bitter with a meaty flavor, something I've never noticed in a beer. Tastes like it was fermented with a bratwurst. Very unique and robust with earthy mouthfeel. I was somewhat confused with this one, but overall enjoyed it quite a bit.
