RBSG2003 (extended) (On tap at the brewery) This beer rocks! Deep, hazy copper brew with a small, quickly diminishing head. The aroma? Wow! Me likes! Fruity, leathery, smokey and very astringent. Mysterious. Musty and old smelling like weathered paper and a good, single malt scotch whiskey. The flavor is malty with blasts of light molasses, but also pungent and lemony. Warm alcohol as well. Heavy and full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Short, sweet finish. Excellent, world class scotch ale!

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 OK, my first brew to rate without a rating. I sampled this brew in the brewers Pub in Kalamazoo, MI. This brew pours a small white head of fine bubbles and a light reddish transparent body color. It has a mild fruity aroma and a flat taste of cherries. Overall, I found it to be very nice and drinkable, but had to place the tastes. Of course that was after sampling seven beers across the street at bells and several of Kraftbrau’s 5 oz samples of some of there other brews.
