2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a high off-white head and lots of visible carbonation. Nose is sugar, earthy mushroom, tinfoil, and adjunct. Not as sweet on the tongue, but with a hollow midpalate and not much flavor to it; there’s a little white pepper and spice to liven it up, but not much. Finish is short and a little hot. Unremarkable.

This was okay. Tastes like a typical adjunct lager. Something mildly unpleasant in the taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at the 2015 Joplin Pints ’n Paws Mac-Fest beerfest. Noble hops aroma. Some nice grassy bite in the taste. Well-made pale lager. Server said it had no adjuncts. Much better than their light lager.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Your typical pale lager. Luckily, since its pale, you don’t have to suffer through as much of the nasty attempts at flavor as most of its macro brewed brethren a la Bud Light, etc.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
This is a really good alternative to macro adjunct laden beers. Very pure taste. Very reasonably priced.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Odd, I was sure I’d taken notes on this previously. Golden and clear, looking macro all the way. But by being pure of intent, this comes off cleaner and clearly "all malt." But in the end, this is probably boring to the beer geek, and indistinguishable to the uninitiated. (#5855, 11/12/2014)

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Bad. Soury and stupid. American brewers have to stop trying to pass crap like this off as if it’s imported, micro-brewed, or challenging beers that are imported or micro-brewed.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had this at Fridays. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Taste slightly sweet, like a mass produced lager. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ahhh, Billy Busch’s latest venture. Pours a very clean, yellow color with a frothy, bright white head with decent staying power. Carbonation is very high. Aroma has a strong sour Noble hops nose with a lot of grain. Flavor starts off with a light grassy, orangy, sour Noble hops characteristics which transitions into a pretty sweet pale malt flavor and finishes with light grainy and grassy notes. The flavor actually transitions instead of being one dimensional which is seen a lot in macro pale lagers. Body is light, very fizzy with a touch of oily texture at the end where you expect a crisp feeling. Overall a respectable brew. You can tell there no adjuncts used in the brew as the graininess really stands out. Avoid the ocular Pavlovian response associated with the name Busch, this is a stylistically respectable brew.
