Opaque brown beer, small pale tan head. Dry palate with very mild carbonation. Fresh dry wood! Dominant! A little dark malt. Grand Marnier? Maybe a drop in the finish. Not what I was expecting or wanting but surprisingly drinkable.

Pours a dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of some toasted malts, nuts and loads of salty licorice. Flavour of toasted malts, caramel, salty licorice, some wood and red wine. Medium bodied, low carbonation and a salty, malty and licorice again. Not as good as the original version.

Dark ruby color, small beige head. Aroma of wooden barrel, oak, dark malts. Medium-bodied. Licorice, salt, some oak and wood. Quite simple, but tasty.

Aroma is a bit light with cocoa, some licorice and hints of soy sauce.
Flavour is rather salty with lots of soy sauce and some licorice. Thin palate for this ABV. A disappointment.

Pours deep dark red color with small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon notes, dark toasted malts, some dark dry chocolate and mild caramel notes. Flavor of vanilla, bitter toasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, mild salty notes and some soy. Thick malty palate with a dry chocolaty finish. Quite nice.

Bottle 41/281 (thanks fonefan!). Very deep amber colour, close to black. Aroma is toffee, mild zesty notes as well as some roast and mild fudge. Flavour is salted liquorice, some soy sauce, mild herbs and quite salty notes as well.

Aroma of roasty malts, some spices, berries, fruits, chocolate and coffee.
Taste is malty with a lot of roastiness, licorice, some spices, coffee and soy sauce.
Roasty, slightly spicy and bitter finish. Okay.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Hazy near black, minimal head. Aroma of tobacco and chocolate. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Soft and mellow, mildly earthy with slight notes of orange. Mellow and pleasant. I’m surprised how much I like this - didn’t see like a great idea on paper.
