Bottle at home. High fluffy long lasting light brown head. Not entirely black body, but almost, it is in face just very dark ruby. When I poured it my table was flooded. Mild and relatively sweet roasted malt coffee liquorice aroma. In the flavor the liquorice is more dominant than the coffee and the hops bitterness is very well balanced. Low carbonation. Long sweet finish. Nice surprise as the alcohol level is also very well hidden by the sweetness of the beer.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(50 cl bottle from Piaf Silkeborg; Bbd: March 8th 2015) Pours black with little, tan head that recedes quickly leaving lace. Aroma is lightly roasted malt and English hops with notes of nuts, bread, syrup and tea. Watery texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lightly roasted finish. Flavour largely follows the nose. Not terribly interesting.

Pours deep dark red, almost black color with small beige head. Aroma of burnt malts, spices, mild hops, dates, vanilla and mild caramel. Flavor of vanilla, caramel, some burnt malts, mild chocolate, dates and some light coffee. Nice dry malty palate with a dry chocolaty finish. Nice.
