Hazy ruby-amber color, vanishing brown head. Sweet fruity aroma: raisins and candy sugar. Fizzy carbonation, crisp. Raisins, plums, alcohol. Quite ok, straightforward and warming beer.

The beer floods out of the bottle upon opening and the color is red-brown with a rather rapidly vanishing head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, spice, candy sugar and hints of metal. The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, raisin and light candy sugar. The balance is good, but the body could be more strong and full. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, caramel, malt. Flavour is sweet, caramel, roasted, dusty, cellar notes, hop. Medium body. Ordinary beer. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway May 21, 2008 Bottle, trade with papsoe. The loud sound when opening the bottle made me fear it would act as a volcano, and so it did, but it was a really slow volcano, so nothing spilt. It has a hazy, amber body, with a big, diminishing beige head. The head suggests infection, with a little milky sourness, as well as nuttyness, caramel, a maltyness and sugars, as well as a little fruityness. Some dried fruits as well. From my description, it seems to be a nice, complex beer, but it’s not that nice. The sour touch drags down the score. Even though the flavor is sweet and with dried fruits, there’s some sourness trying to ruin the flavor, and there’s also some bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Some notes of green apples too, probably not wanted by the brewers. It’s next to full-bodied, and with a heavy carbonation. Quite sweet finish with bitterness, dried fruits and alcohol. I’m preety sure this beer is on it’s way to go bad, but still it’s somehow nice and pleasant. I might have rated it too high, but at the moment it felt right. Flavour is yeast, some caramel, licorice, raisins and mild notes of alcohol and grassyness. As it warms up the grassyness become more evident.
