3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle from Edeka Heilbronn. Clear pale greenish yellow with a decent white head and a good hoppy nose. Light and elegant malty base, quite crips, with good grassy hops. Decent beer, but I don’t get the connection between Wallerstein and the Kraichgau region.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
50cl fliptop, cooled at Getränkemarkt in Kirchardt im Kraichgau. - Kraichgauer Landpils is brewed well 150km east in Wallerstein and could just as well be a Bavarian Kellerbier: sweet sedated malts overpowering decent natural hop bitterness, medium rich mf and a shortish grassy finish. Unattenuated yeast profile for a Pilsner, anchoring this firmy in the sweetish SW Pils palate. (a clear contrast to the clear Norther Pilsners sampled hours before in Lower Saxony).

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Part of the first German beer tasting in Idar-Oberstein (day two). 550 ml bottle, pours a gold pils color with a short white head. Has a sweet aroma for a pils. Seems to have the normal Pils taste, but sweet for the type. Palate ends dry.
