Keg (EBF2008) as Makielski Ciemne
I’m guessing this is the right beer - I asked (using the mechanism of pointing to them in the brochure) for 3 completely different dark beers, and they served all three from the same tap. Eventually they gave me some others too, I just hope I’ve placed them in the right place. In the words of a Ukrainian we once knew "Sorry, this is Russia".
Lagery aroma. Supersweet. Like a sweet schwartz. OK. Slightly roasty and a bit bready. Whatever.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and a little caramel. Fairly light-bodied with sweetish roasted malts and basically no hops in the finish. 140908

From tap as Nakielskie Ciemne. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a diminished tan head. Smooth breadish and mild roasted malty aroma. Nice and smooth breadish base flavour. Mild and roasted finish. Light lingering breadish and mild fruity finish.

Appearance: Dark amber ruby with lighter well contrasting bone white top.3+
Nose Deep roasty malt aroma, woody , bready with great depth.7+
Flavor/Palate : Bready clean brew. Slight soft sticky texture. Dark cookie hints with brown sugar behind. Quiet clean bready interpretation. Light mineral ending. Very good brew from Krajan.

Brownish colour, thick head. Interesting aroma, full flavour. Indeed, I’m not sure it’s a dunkel. Slightly too sweet, but still good.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very flat hazy ruby-brown with no head at all -- Dunkel? Looks like an Old Ale. Aroma of dark malt, roast, lots of dark fruit and some smoke, hops and more -- nice! Flavour dissapoints as it’s incredibly watery -- What happened, this could have been so good? There’s dark malt, dark fruit and some roastiness but it’s all subdued by all the water. To think of how good this could have been and It started off so well with that aroma...oh well.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, Harry’s bottle courtesy of Biegaman - thanks! Very dark ruby red, still, no head - just bubbles - looks like an old ale. Wow, what an aroma. So much sweet malt, wood, bread, roast - lovely, lovely stuff, smells stronger than it is. Taste - ah man, that’s a let down, so much water! But, underneath, sticky sweet, burnt toffee, short to nothing finish. There is damn good beer here, but it is covered in water right now.

Bottle (500ml - bottle says 5% ABV). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, my bottle via trade with Biegaman - thanks Jan!. Deep ruby with no head. Deep sweet sticky (yes, I can smell the sticky) roast malt aroma, a bit woody and peaty, pungent green hops - just sweet ’n roasty, sort of dry. Taste is surprisingly weak, light roast, some sweet prune juice, quick finish - a little disappointing. Body is weak, and finisheshes even more watery, like watery syrup with no linger or aftertaste. Smells great, though ... I seriously doubt that this is a dunkel.
