COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Krakauer Niefiltrowany to piwo jasne typu lager, warzone w dolnej fermentacji tradycyjnymi metodami. Odpowiednio dobrane naturalne składniki, woda z własnego ujęcia źródeł środkowo jurajskich oraz brak filtracji nadają mu doskonały i niepowtarzalny smak.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2014 500ml bottle (BeerGallery Kazimir, Krakow)
Nice grainy aroma. Taste is weak. This is just a pale lager. Some malts, but there’s nothing else to it. Pale and clear, small brief head.

Unfiltered so pours into golden hazy color, head is very short and unstable, carbonation evaporates within few minutes. Aroma is mainly yeast (unfiltered again!) and some hints of hops. Sour in taste, with little counterbalance in hops, quite dry, thin palate, flat carbonation. Long bitter finish spoilt by sourness however. I don’t know what’s the point in brewing unfilttered pale lager and this beer is simply poor.

Bottle. Grainy, bready, strawy, worty malt aroma with some yeasty basement notes. Very faint grassy hops. Light sweet, light bitter, discreetly salty taste. Bordering on watery yet flavourful enough. Good. The name has changed and the label. The aroma and taste not quite but the looks yes - the head is far from impressive I’m afraid.

First rating: Lovely packaged bottle with a nostalgic label. This beer looks on the inside just as good as on the outside. Hazy light golden with a huge, very durable head. One of the single best looking Polish beers I have ever seen. In fact, with a light unfiltered lager you can’t go any better, I believe. Pleasant, soft malty aroma with a honey note and some subtle grassy hops. And a light hint of vanilla. Malty sweetish taste, light bitterness, even slightly salty (nowhere in the vicinity of a gose though) which seems to be the effect of using highly mineralised water for brewing. Not too high on flavour but I believe it came out just the way it was intended to - soft, relaxed and nostalgic. With an original mineral-salty note. Very pleasant, with this beer you get the whole package.

Bottle, 5.5%. Weak baking yeast aroma. Cloudy dark yellow colour. Big stable chalk white head. The flavour is subtly yeasty, hint of floral hops. Good mouthfeel, but a little too high carbonation. A subtle beer, not bad, but could have more flavour.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops, yeast and grain. Sourish, yeasty flavour, enriched by hoppy bitterness, endling slightly sweet. Richly carbonated. Rough, bready aftertaste. An OK Zwickel.
