kappldav123 (989), Markkleeberg, Germany Dec 24, 2007 The bottle looks good, a little bit old. The aroma is sourish, the flavor too. Nevertheless a drinkable and good beer. Quack-Duck (1755), Bodensee, Germany May 27, 2007 Quite dark yellow, small head. Malty, fruity and hoppy. Very characteristic flavour, very nice indeed. MartinT (4330), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 7, 2005 The Lure: Butterscotch and caramel sweetness covers slender herbs and zesty oranges. Pastries, bread, and greasy meat come together to recall hot dogs. Peculiar.
The Festivities: Superb maltiness with wooden, grassy hop bitterness quietly rising in the finish. The slick mouthfeel is full of malt, which is quite an accomplishment for a vycepni, and is maybe helped by the low carbonation. Tastier than their 12-degree, and a definite knockout for the price (about 0.25$US for a 500ml bottle).
Transcendence: A fine cloth of silk is a silent pleasure for the skin. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Aug 8, 2002 amazing aroma of oranges and pears. for those who find the 12 degree a little too bitter. what most of the locals drink plenty of. hard to get except for in the hills on the czech-polish border but worth a special trip there. a little known fact: fat slav havel, the czech president, used to work there
