2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Oakes (10215) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2011
@ Zly Casy. Sweetish dull gold. Hints of moss, hop and pale malt. Somewhat rotten character - old hops or something. Not a beer that I thought was well put-together.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Schroppfy (2335) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - OCT 26, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2011 Grain and even corny, sugary aroma. Mild hop aroma. Body is terrible (best before 11/24/2010), flat, lifeless. Taste has a strange sour element on top of mild hoppiness (flowers) and hay. Bitter, which is good. Astringent. Not good. Oh well.
NEW RATING: The importance of a better sample, up 0.8! Aroma fresher, bitterness super palpable, bready, herbal and some more delicate flavors. Come to think of it the aroma is still a little chemically. The conditioning was much, much improved, a nice solid head lasting. Best before March 1, 2011.
