Pours a gold/honey color with pretty foamy head into a pilsner glass. Leaves a lot of lacing. Nose of malt / pilsner-esque.taste of caramel, malt and a touch of bitterness. Ok, but not my preferred style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a tulip glass. I am embarking on a trip around the world starting with this unique offering I picked up at my local BevMo!. The appearance is a clean copper color. Hyperactive carbonation streams to the top of the glass supporting a thin, bubbly white head. The nose on this is toasted grain with floral perfume. The taste imparts elements of floral perfumes, toasted grains, spicy and earthy hops, rounded out by a some farmhouse funk.

Nice drinking for style. Lots of saaz and crisp malt aroma. Golden pour with ok head. Crisp finish with a little more bitterness than average. Bottle.

Bottle: Nearly clear, amber-gold with a short, off-white head. Grainy malt, straw scent. Taste is a bit grassy/bready, very slight caramel notes, grains. Mild, grassy hops....a little stale, but not bad.

Bottle. Cardboard, lemon, malt and straw aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, and hay flavor. Decent body. Probably a lot better fresh.

500ml bottle shared with my son on 19th May 2016 while on holiday in California. Clear golden pour, white unlasting head. Malty front with a decent hop bitter finish, liked the palate too, but without getting excited about the brew.

11.2 ounce bottle from a trade with weihenweizen. The beer is a clear gold with a big head of white foam. The aroma has herbal green tea notes, moderate perfumey grassy notes. Medium sweetness with moderate spice notes. Lighter body and soft carbonation.

16.9 ounce bottle from BevMo Midtown, grainy aroma, dry, malt, hint of grass.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear golden with big white head. Aroma is light malt, light body, low carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is quite a bit of Pilsner malt, grassy hops, and hints of alcohol. More of a pale lager than pilsner, boring.

Gold beer with a thick billowing white head that forms a solid surface foam. Nose of corn syrup, light caramel, and cardboard. Flavor is typical generic Eurotrash with some sweet caramel undertones topped by a flaccid wet cardboard hop profile. Not what I look for in a double bock.

Microbrewed beer of the month club for December. Thanks again sis! Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is of straw. Taste is lightly sweet with a tart bitterness making for a slightly dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
