Commercial Description:
Is a classic Czech "tmave" (dark) beer with a sweet malty, coffee-like accent. Sweet malts are to the fore on the palate with a hint of drying sensation and a degree of fruitiness on the very lightly hopped finish.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours dark brown with tan head. The aroma is sweet, yummy and inviting. I get dark fruity esters consisting of such things as Concord grape jam and blueberries to go along with some roasty dark malts and a touch of toasty toffee-ness. Nice mix of notes. The taste is moderate and smooth with malt sweetness and grape to sweet berry fruitiness. Midway mild roasted malts surface and run right into the finish. Ends somewhat dry.

Bottle courtesy Ibrew2or3. Pours a very dark brown with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma but less prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good.

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with medium beige head. Aroma has toasted caramel, herbal-grassy hops, slightly mediciney and hints of yeast. Flavor has toasted caramel, herbal and floral hops. Minor metallic flavors knock off a point. Creamy, full palate.
