Commercial Description:
Is a classic Czech "tmave" (dark) beer with a sweet malty, coffee-like accent. Sweet malts are to the fore on the palate with a hint of drying sensation and a degree of fruitiness on the very lightly hopped finish.

Not a bad beer by any stretch, but not something I'd go out of my way for either. Very little complexity but the dark malts do factor into the flavor. It struck me as a fairly pilsner-like beer despite the darkness.

This beer poured nice and had a roasted chocolate aroma. It was a little less flavorful than I thought it would be based on the aroma.

Easy drinking Czech dark with a nose I don't particularly care for. Quaffable, but certainly no standout in the wonderful world of dark lagers.

Brown purple color; slightly thick, tan head; Nose of chocolate roasted coffee- yummy. Good coffee character- lots of roasted malt. Not shabby at all- could give Kostritzer a run for it's money.

Sweet brown sugar and molasses nose. Deep and dark with a brownish-red hue. Mouthfeel is super smooth, heavy on the tongue and wholesome; very soft, velvety texture. Gentle carbonation comes out near the finish. Brown sugar, chocolate, molasses and toffee notes; mild roastiness. Finishes surprisingly clean (for such a malty beer), almost dry. Pleasant flavors in the aftertaste.

Nice chocolate aroma. Good dark brown colour with a rocky, cream coloured head. Medium bodied. Nice smooth flavour with a hint of chocolate and roast malts.

Dark brown color, large head. Dark roasted malts, slightly sweet, lightly hopped, not a lot of bitterness. Medium bodied dark ale. Mouthfeel is full round and smooth. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty and slightly bitter.

Deep malt fruity aroma, very bock like, slightly roasty. Thickish mouthfeel, medium bodied with fair carbonation. As expected from aroma, emphasis is on the malt, gains a little dryness and bite in the back, finishing with a coffee roastiness.
