COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is a classic Czech "tmave" (dark) beer with a sweet malty, coffee-like accent. Sweet malts are to the fore on the palate with a hint of drying sensation and a degree of fruitiness on the very lightly hopped finish.

Aroma of dark sweet malt with some coffee. Very dark brown with ruby hilites (under halogen). A beige head that left rapidly. Thinnish mouthfeel. Starts with roasted malt, a bit dry, not so sweet as the malt aroma might suggest. Light coffee notes. Arguably a bit of dark plummish fruit. The finish is dry, and there is a balance of overdone toast by hop.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours dark brown with tan head. The aroma is sweet, yummy and inviting. I get dark fruity esters consisting of such things as Concord grape jam and blueberries to go along with some roasty dark malts and a touch of toasty toffee-ness. Nice mix of notes. The taste is moderate and smooth with malt sweetness and grape to sweet berry fruitiness. Midway mild roasted malts surface and run right into the finish. Ends somewhat dry.
