20090919 Cask at Max’s. Nice enough, simple, clean pils. Light diacetyl aroma notes don’t seem to interfere with flavor. Reminds of Bitburger but with a softer body. French bread, grassy.

29.11.2009, 0,5l Bottle from Meny Karnsundgata, Haugesund. Very pale yellow colour. A little hazy with white head. Thin body with weak malty aroma.Nice bitterness and hoppy aftertaste. Refreshing and easy drinkable.

500 ml bottle. Very pale, golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of weak grain and perfume. Flavor is weak malty, boiled asparagus and a tiny hint of hops. Plain, watery body, short finish - not a pleasant experience.

Draught @brewpub, as Edel-Pils
Straw colour and sparkly. Thick bleached head that falls down. Rich herbal hoppy aroma with no shortage of backing breadcrust. Well-balanced with herbal hop, moderate bitterness, light pale malts and some supporting diacetyl. This messes up the mouthfeel, however, introducing undue slickness that takes away from the herbal bitter character and the cleanliness of the pale malts.

Draft @ brewery. Yellow color but has a superlative thick tight, creamy head. Hoppy aroma screams pils. Is dry, grassy, herbal, clean and enough malt to back it all up. Great quaffable palate. The flavors match the aromas with lots of grassy herbal hops in the forefront that are well integrated with the sturdy malt backbone. Excellent pils!

0.5 l bottle from K-Market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Pale golden color with small head. Sweet honeish and papery aroma. Honeyish, herbal, bitter, metallic and papery flavor. Flat and watery palate. Dull and papery although BB date three months ahead.

Bottle, bought in Hirschaid. Blonde, no head. Flowery hops and a hint of cardboard in the aroma. Malty flavor with apple, cardboard and a hint of old hops. Past its peak, though the best before date wasn’t reached yet.

Bottled. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, grains, some fruit and saltwater. Flavour is grains, toffee, some earth and saltwater. Rather papery as well.
