Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Really satisfying golden Helles. Light, bready sweetness. Smooth inside the actual mouth. Germans never fail, ja?

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glas zippy, nice head. Starts mild, but not washy, quite dry, a bit metallically. Light fruity-sourish notes. Quite drinkable. Not bad!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, husky, minimally strawy aroma, hints of ’Fleischwurst’ (pork sausage). Taste is pale malty, minimally strawy, cereals, subtle sweetness. Relatively strong Helles, therefore clearly above average.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Aroma: Plastic, metallic, buttery.
Appearance: light golden, with quite a bit of haze
Taste: Some maltiness, plastic, a little bit of sweetness and medium bitterness.
Palate: Light but not terribly thin. Medium to high carbonation.
Overall: I did barely get through this due to an off putting chemical and very metallic nose which also was the highlight of the taste experience. I guess something was wrong with the bottle, but there have been similar reviews, although most raters do not mention it. Bad.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
gravity cask @ redlight redlight. Sweet yeasty bread notes on the aroma with hints of grass. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thick fluffy white head. Refreshing malt notes with a slight sweetness upfront with an underlining earthy bitterness with traces of fresh cut grass and yeasty bread in the finish. Very refreshing and drinkable! Excellent!
