Clear deep golden colour with a big foamy white head. Lot of maltiness, some sweetness, pencil, woody dryness and a hint of fruitiness.

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - clear and bright golden beer with a modest head retention; herbal aroma with light metallic notes; a good malt backbone, a bit oily palate; decently bitter and quite long spicy aftertaste

Bottled (from BierZwerg). Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is mild floral notes, some grains, a bit herbs and some strange sweet notes as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, some sweet malts, mild starch and grains as well as a slight bit of honeylike sweetness. Quite messy. Also it’s rare, but this one made a good effort on the reaction test when removing the cap...

Bottle 500ml (BZ, BB 04/2015)
Clear deep golden color, small white head. Sweet malty, even a bit metallic aroma. Medium-bodied. Malty, light bitterness in the finish with some metallic notes. Quite dry malty festbier, usually these are sweetier and as such this is perhaps closer to Helles style. Despite of metallic notes, it is a clean beer to have with XMas food. For sessions a bit lame.

Pours clear amber with a small head. Sweet and malty aroma. Taste is sweet too with notes of malts, fruits and even some caramel. Finishes with a hint of bitterish hoppy notes. Soft co2. A good one for a Märzen -type of beer. (0,5l bottle, bb 21.04.15)

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20
pivnizub (10139) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle: Clear, deep golden, quickly collapsing white fluffy head, moderate sweetish-grainy and strawy-hoppy nose with a faint touch of toasted malt underneath; mild to moderate clean sweet-bitter flavour, pretty soft and light to medium bodied; caramelly and malty finish with a slight balancing hoppy touch in the aftertaste. Nice brew....
