COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Velbekomme.

Bottle. It pours a hazy, dark golden body and a two-finger, off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma has a distinct touch of cooked vegetables, with some pine cones and caramel. Medium body, softly carbonated. The flavor is more on the fruity side, with caramel maltyness notes and some notes of orange and bitterness. An ordinary beer, but sure drinkable, even though I can’t see myself drinking it again. 130430

500ml bottle (Snow@CrisO)
Dry woody aroma. Some sweetness to that wood - a bit aged. Alas a bit farty in places. Quite English in style. Better than a typical Amber Ale, a style I dislike as they’re normally too sweet; but this is more highly attenuated. Easy and drinkable.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Pours clearish amber with a fine, white cream head. Dry, semi-dark malt nose. Light to medium sweet flavour with dusty malts, faint citrus rind and leaves. Light bodied with average carbonation. Bland finish, some dry bready malts, leafy bitterness. OK stuff I guess, but it’s rather unexciting.
