3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rating #308, tap at Døllefjelde Musse Marked 2010
Appearance is almost completely black, and the beer has an incredibly beautiful high head that looks like beige whipped cream and lasts until the beer is drank. The beer even leaves lacings on the lousy market mug of plastic that it was served in. Aroma is vague and irish stout-like with a certain sourishness and some malts, but also some hints of chocolate. Flavor is fortunately better than the aroma indicates, and is marked by coffee, liquorice, a bit chocolate and alcohol, which are all ending in the bitter finish. The beer is a little too thin, soft in the mouth and has a pleasuring carbonation.
As with all of Krenkerups beer I have tasted this far, it seems a little too "clean" and therefore a little plain.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, clear dark brown to black with an off-white head. Aroma of dark roasted malt with notes of smoke, licorice and coffee. The taste of hard toasted malt with notes of licorice and a bit of smoke. A little thin texture of a Stout. The hard roasted malt gives a dry and moderately bitter taste and aftertaste

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A typical stout appearance: near black body with a reddish tint when held up to a bright light, and a decent, mostly lasting light-brown head. Fair lacing. The aroma is rather vague roasted stuff and mild coffee. Also some dusty or chalky notes. The flavours are far more pronounced: the roasted notes feels quite burnt, almost like tobacco, and the coffee is strong. There are also some faint dried dark fruits in the back. Unfortunately there are also a metallic element that is a bit disturbing. The taste is medium sweet with a very light bitter finish. A very pleasant mouthfeel: medium body, oily texture and medium to soft carbonation. Maybe not an extremely exciting beer and the metallic feel is not welcome, but still it’s quite nice.

Burnt and delicate roasted flavors and creamy foam that sticks itself to the glass. Relatively easy to drink and fresh.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (love their bottles). Pours almost black with a medium sized off-white head. Slight aroma of roasted malt. Taste of lightly roasted malt, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Thin bodied and sweet with soft carbonation. Pretty ordinary stout that is nothing special, but it’s not bad either - I’ve had it plenty of times. Okay.
