Bottle from Aldi. Colour is very dark. Taste is soft, alcohol is well hidden. Tastes like quality brown beer, not to sweet. A very nice dubbel beer.

Nice dark color, almost black. With a light behind the beer you can see a nice red tint. There is a nice soft layer of foam. The beer has a nice taste. Nice sweet, balanced with some bitterness. There is a touch of slightly sour fruits. Maybe also some nuts, really far. Nice.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2015 Kristoffel Brune, uitgeschonken in 25 cl. Leffe glas.

(Kristoffel Brune) Bottle 330 ml from Aldi supermarket, served into a tulip. ABV 6% Brown colour on the body, small and frothy tan head, with low retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma of caramel, red fruits, marmalade, sugar. Taste of caramel, red fruits, forest fruit bubblegum, sugars, metallic notes on the finish. Medium thin body, highly carbonated. Okay beer, I expected much worse.

Bottle. Nice dark brown color with small off white head. Light yeast, plums, raisins and light toasted malts. Light taste with some sweetness and very light bitter finish. Nothing special but nothing offensive either.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Sinterklaas who bought it @ the local Aldi supermarket because I have been such a good boy. Clear brown with a beige head. Malty aroma with caramel. Rather one-dimensional but somewhat decent. Short metallic aftertaste.

Bottle. Ruby red, brown color. Nice foam head. Looks perfect. Aroma is a nice blend of alcohol (barley wine), bitterness from malts, some prunes. Taste is relatively sweet: some bubblegum, little barley wine, slight metal flavor, oily. Nothing robust really, probably because of the relatively low alcohol pct. Considering the modest price, however, really not bad. Would gladly have a second.
