Jerre (1274), Waregem, Belgium Nov 12, 2006 Bottle; 33 cl. Tasted this beer a few weeks ago, and now find my notes again. Dark blond-amber hazy beer; dark white head. Malty bitter aroma. Good drinkable. Medium body. Bitter taste give more alcohol of it haves.
One of the beers that not maded with sugar.
JorisPPattyn (4247), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 1, 2006 Golden-orange hazy beer; very dense & fine yellowish tinted head. Very fresh malt nose, grassy, garden herbs and stinging nettles, and a lot of citrus - both zeste and fruit. Excellent balance between citrus and bitterish (hopp-y, not really hopcharacter), with just a hint at restsweetness. Little peppery finish - but it is thankfully devoid of overpowering spiceyness. Refreshing, drinkable, notwithstanding its after all respectable ABV. Aftertaste gives a little fruity-tinted sweetness. That’s a very good try for a first! It at least succeeded in being different from the habitual Alvinne range, and it’s extremely easy drinkable.
