Jerre (1261), Waregem, Belgium Oct 13, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. @ Kroegske yesterday.
Golden color, medium white head.
Aroma citrus and spicy. Medium body. Taste is good malts, it’s like spices in it but Danny says there not, citrus, bit grainy, yeast.
Like it, good brew !
JorisPPattyn (4227), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 23, 2007 Heavily carbonated to huge white, fluffy head; yellow-golden beer. Very spicy nose, but NO coriander to be detected; fine citrussy-lemony aroma. There is however, a whiff of chlorine, that pushes through in the taste. Not all samples have it equally - we tasted three, and one was virtually exempt of the chlorine. Citrus and a lot of grain, including obviously wheat (malt), slightly toasted at the end. A bit of astringency ( ~chlorine?), wheat slickness, ending a bit burning, this last in all samples. Pity about the occasional off-taste, ’cause for the rest, this is a better wit than most. Marks are an average.
