Aroma is fruit forward. A dark brown pour with a mostly diminishing tan head and slight lacing. A biscuity malty taste with a biscuity aftertaste. Medium to medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Dry, chalky feel. Overall, I liked this beer. While not a go to beer, I'd drink it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2012 Very dark mahogany color with a frothy/creamy head. The head is very long-lasting and leaves exceptional lacing. The body is medium and near creamy smooth, with excellent carbonation. No flaws in the aroma or taste, but the flavor is a bit weaker than ideal.

Bottle. A handsome beer - dark mahogany with a generous beige head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavour is roast, coffee with a dry finish. Prickly mouthfeel and a little thin.

Black in colour with beige head that leaves a lace down side of glass. Aroma of roasted barley with hints of chocolate and liquorice. Taste is of licorice Pontefract cake with seams of roasted barley and chocolate, quite complex and nice. The palate is little weak and lets it down, more watery than it looks. However, a beer I could drink and drink again.

Aroma dark ripe front feel. Vinous with touch of chocolate. Slightly unpleasant at finish. 6-
Appearance clear nice dark brown brew. Medium white contrasting top. Nice lace on walls.4-
Flavor and Palate : lighter bodied, slightly over carbonated. Sweet slightly fruity hint with notes of German hops. Touch of metallic notes behind. Late feel of honey and minerals and biscuit.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered looking brown-black. Steady beige head. Clean, mellow brown chocolate aroma. A pretty respectable Schwarzbier. Gentle on the palate, that slightly lower than normal ABV makes it quite mellow. Smooth sweet caramel, brown chocolate, brownie. Some delicate hops. Quite enjoyable for the style.
