Bottle. Malty smell, dark appearance with an off white head. The taste is very strange; mostly malty, very grainy and bready. Not that complex a beer either with a thin mouthfeel and little aftertaste but noticeably dry with low hop presence. Not very good but drinkable.

Pours 33cc to glass. Dark color and low head. Malty and roasty aroma, maybe a bit burnt coffee. Watery and light body. Slightly bitter finish

Pours a super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of beer form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is mainly of malt and caramel-like aromas. Taste is much the same with dark roasted malt and burnt toast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is fairly decent, easy to drink.

Dark color with average head. Weak aroma of roasted malt. Taste ok, light caramel sweet, light body, light bitterness, balanced. Ok beer, but nothing to remember.

Bottle poured to glass. Okay not great. Little aroma. Nice malty taste. Cola appearance (not my favorite). Light to medium bodied. Decent thirst quencher for a dark. Would drink again but probably wouldn’t buy it.

Soft and pleasant to drink, a bit of roasted coffre and caramel aroma. Pleasant and easy drinkable beer.

50 cl bottle from Liviko Alcostore in Tallinn (€ 1.40). 4.3 % ABV; BB 20.11.15. Pours a chestnut brown colour with a big beige foamy head. Retention OK and lacing minimal. The aroma is roasty, bready, with a bit of herbal hoppiness. Later on a bit of buttery and muddy notes. Tastes of... well, roasted malts and nuts... but it’s all rather faint, restrained and mild but I can’t help but find myself enjoy it. The taste is pure and clear, yet not very specific. Lightish medium body with below average carbonisation. Kind of boring, slightly watery, but highly drinkable.

tmoreau (2986) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2015
Shared 11.2 bottles poured to snifters, showing a clear, ruby highlighted brown tone, with a presentable layer of off white/light tan head foam that reduced to a lasting ring & light film, leaving spots & strands of lacing on the glass. The nose was malty, with some roasted character, a touch of coffee, soft grain, and light caramel sweetness. Light bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar notes, but mainly possessed a rather thin texture and flavor.
