As dark as it can be with the barest of russet notes in the dimple of the glass, a filthy grey coloured head that seemed to leave lace on the side of the glass. A little chocolately with some dusty grain on the nose and cocoa and charry burnt fruitbread flavour. Some currant flavour as well. A tasty enough brew and suited to a massive stein on a warm evening. Now. I need me a stein.

Bottle at restaurant, Bodř. Pours a clear deep reddish brown to black colour with a beige head. Aroma of nuts, hay, grassy hops, wort, licorice, bread and some dried fruit. The flavour is more roasted with nuts, wort and bread. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A solid schwarzbier which is well roasted and balanced.

Dark brown color. Very light roasted and hop aroma. Light body and flavor as well. On the dry side. A touch of coffee and noble hops. A bit boring, but easy to drink.

Brunatne piwo o średniej pianie, która utrzymuje się do końca w formie pierścienia przy brzegu szkła. Aromat i smak kawowy. Goryczka niska. Ogólnie dość udany schwarzbier, wyraźna kawa w smaku i aromacie to główne cechy tego piwa.

caramel, bread, chocolate, coffee, grass, herbs, brown, black, clear, minimal head, tan foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter Nice malty aromas with dark cocoa/coffee hints. Hops very low key. Medium carbonation with tan foam. A bit thinner then aromas would suggest - I thought it would be fuller bodied, and this feels a bit watered down. Mild bitter finish, again bringing to mind coffee.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Pours very dark brown with a thin light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, mild chocolate, faint vanilla. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium bodied, slick/creamy texture, average medium carbonation. Roasted bitterness to finish.
