pivnizub (7977) - Bochum, Porúří, - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle: Amber coloured, clear, smaller - slowly collapsing - white head, light to moderate grassy-hoppy nose with very faint traces of dark malt or caramel; moderate dryish bitter - sweet flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; short and dry bitter-grassy finish. This is not a real Dunkel, but a fake! Tastes suspiciously like a coloured Krombacher Pils…

Bottled as Krombacher Dunkel: Kibble and molasses nose, with pecan accents. Garnet black, thick tan head. Medium body. Charred oak flavor, roasted malt flavor, not excessively sweet. Walnut hints. A really nice dunkel.

Douberd (616) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 19, 2013
330 ml bottle, bought in Germany. Poured into a weizen glass. ABV 4.8%. Nice activity in the glass, colour of the beer is a brown amber one. On top, two fingers of beige, thick head, with very good retention and some light lacing left around the glass. Lightly roasted malts on the aroma, along with some caramel and a bit of hay. Taste follows the nose, dirty malts, wet hay and caramel. It has a nice bitter aftertaste nevertheless. Light body, carbonation slighty above average. Good dryness on the palate. Overall, nothing too special, on the average side.

BeerViking (1419) - Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, GERMANY - MAR 18, 2013
Pours clear mahogany with a huge off-white head, lightly herb hoppy nose with hints of toffee and dried fruit. Toasted caramel and faintly roast nut body. Dryish burnt-bitter finish. Like a light Pils with burnt dark caramel flavouring.

Gelungen.

jkbier (59) - Rostock, GERMANY - MAR 11, 2013
Bottle. A clear reddish brown with a tan that doesn’t last long. Faint smell of toffee. Tastes of roasted malt with a sour note, quite watery. No hops and no noteworthy finish. Boring.

bierkoning (8941) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - MAR 4, 2013
Bottle. Brown color. Soft café au lait aroma with a hint of roast. Malty yet dry, roasty flavor, lingering on in the aftertaste. Bready, caramel. Surprisingly good.
