Why should we strive constantly to try to improve an already excellent flavor ever? It is one of our strengths, we can recognize that when a product perfected and completed in flavor. We believe in modern continuity and stability as strengths of Krombacher - constant in quality, resistant to the taste. An achievement that we will not sacrifice lightly. The Christmas Song tells the quietly resting at sea, as we feel it with our beer. In peace lies both the strength and the indulgence.

Nature has provided us with its mountain spring water ® richly rewarded. We also feel this as a mandate and responsibility to consider also Krombacher Pils as a gift and preserve this jewel of nature pure. The mountain spring water ® is the most important component for the unique quality and distinctive taste experience of a Krombacher lager. A Krombacher stands for naturally fresh beer enjoyment and a fine, spicy aroma. How many generations in the future, our passion is the preservation of this achievement.

Clear gold with a white head. Grassy aroma. Taste is honey malt with a spicy hop finish. "Classic German Lager"

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2011 Draft at Bavarian Lodge. This confirms what I already suspected: If you really want to enjoy a "fine Pilsner beer" (piss on that, Lite!), you gotta get the German or Czech ones fresh from a keg at a beer bar that knows its stuff. Not an import bottle. This totally rules. Poured in a 22 oz. "stein" glass, it shows a clear pils color with more brass than any megabrew. The first sniff has some funk to it, a bit of a surprise. The taste hits with German hops dominating: peppery and slightly herbal. Malt is much quieter, almost subdued. A bracing hit of pure beer. Updated to acknowledge that this is my 100th German beer rated! My second most-rated country after the US! But with Belgium a close third.

Pale golden colour, white head. Aroma malty, slight bitter, floral hops. For some reason also a bit reminding of dust. Flavour is malty, slight sweetness but bitter and dry. Crisp and quite OK.

Herb weicher, ein wenig muffiger Antrunk. Später minimal hopfig, langweilig, trocken, einfallslos. Etwas hellmalzig, auch im Abgang herb. Trinkbar, absolut unspektakulär. 8/10/11/9/9/9

11.2 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass at Lunar Brewing Co.. Displayed a clear, golden hue, abundant, creamy, white head foam, and clingy rings of wavy lacing. The aroma was Pils malt, typical noble/floral scent, some grain, light yeast, and a hint of maize. The flavor added moderate hop bitterness, lively carbonation, and pleasant dryness & crispness to the finish. A decently refreshing German Pils.

Can 50 cl. Very nice head that remains for a long time. Also very fine aroma of citrus and elderberry. And the first zip was nice... But then - watery, boring, hard to find any taste at all. What a pity!

Big head which it retains pretty well. Clean taste, some sweetness, hints of bread and a good malt/hops balance. Really drinkable, enjoyable pils. Had it in a restaurant in Tirana with a mate who’s generally pretty unadventurous with beer. Waiter offered us this or Birra Korca, mate chose Korca and the waiter gave him a look like he’d farted in church. Good beer, anyway.

typical pils - nice appearance. Smell is sweetish hoppy bready. Fresh watery taste, nicely carbonated. Subtly citric. OK pils.

500ml tall can purchased from Nester’s Liquor Store in Whistler. Clear and golden with a frothy big head, faint hoppy aroma, lightly sweet, nice malt/hop balance, a very nice classic German pilsener. Lagerboys rejoice!

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2011 500ml bottle. It pours a clear gold witha large, foamy white head that leaves a lot of lacing. The smell is almost skunky with a must to it, then some grain, fruit, noble hops, and metal. The taste is rather refreshing though, it is malty with a kick of noble hops that tickles the tounge. It is super light and drinkable. For a mass produced beer it isn’t bad.
