Why should we strive constantly to try to improve an already excellent flavor ever? It is one of our strengths, we can recognize that when a product perfected and completed in flavor. We believe in modern continuity and stability as strengths of Krombacher - constant in quality, resistant to the taste. An achievement that we will not sacrifice lightly. The Christmas Song tells the quietly resting at sea, as we feel it with our beer. In peace lies both the strength and the indulgence.

Nature has provided us with its mountain spring water ® richly rewarded. We also feel this as a mandate and responsibility to consider also Krombacher Pils as a gift and preserve this jewel of nature pure. The mountain spring water ® is the most important component for the unique quality and distinctive taste experience of a Krombacher lager. A Krombacher stands for naturally fresh beer enjoyment and a fine, spicy aroma. How many generations in the future, our passion is the preservation of this achievement.

A standard average classic German Pilsener. Pretty well-balanced hoppyness and bitterness.

Gold colour with a frothy white head. Sweet honey aroma. Quick sugary sweet taste initially, then a long, soft floral bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing palate.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2014 [bottled] a very nice pils, excellent food beer. A nice dry and a bit bitter finish... [10 years later] horrible

Bottle, clear yellow color with rocky head, just a little lace, thin-bodied. Grassy and grainy, hint of malt sweetness. A bit hoppy, fizzy on the palate. A small taste of herbs. Not very complex, yet quaffable enough to be enjoyed.

Draught, in Barcelona
Pale golden colour served really cold with large fine white head. Low on aroma, this beer is as dry as any in the business. Refreshing and palate cleansing, consumed regularly it helps punctuate the medley tapas.

A good pilsner. Pours a bright straw colour with a thick foamy head. Aromas of malt and honey. Initial grassy taste changes to a nice malt with good hop bite. Reminds me of König but not so bitter.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2005 341ml bottles. Nice foamy head with persistant lacing. Golden color, on the pale side. Fairly well balanced. Sweet and bitter would be the foremost impressions.

500ml bottle:Very nice, sweet and warm feeling Pilsener. I tasted this one head to head agains the Bitburger Pils and they are different but they are both have their own good points, so neither one is better but Krombacher is sweeter and more filling, it also has more body.

Found this in a largish bottle at Viking Premium Beverages in Grandview. This brew has a light and grainy aroma that hints at caramel. Pours a light sparkling golden. The huge fluffy white head has excellent lacing and is everlasting with a full 2 inches remaining at the bottom of my pilsener flute. The sweet flavor has no acidity and finishes mildly bitter. The light watery palate is lively and finishes clean.

Golden colour with a thin, but quite persistent head. Sweet malt aroma. The taste is light and malty, with light traces of fruits. (strawberry?). Hoppy aftertaste, not particularly bitter. A good German pilsener, anyway...
