Why should we strive constantly to try to improve an already excellent flavor ever? It is one of our strengths, we can recognize that when a product perfected and completed in flavor. We believe in modern continuity and stability as strengths of Krombacher - constant in quality, resistant to the taste. An achievement that we will not sacrifice lightly. The Christmas Song tells the quietly resting at sea, as we feel it with our beer. In peace lies both the strength and the indulgence.

Nature has provided us with its mountain spring water ® richly rewarded. We also feel this as a mandate and responsibility to consider also Krombacher Pils as a gift and preserve this jewel of nature pure. The mountain spring water ® is the most important component for the unique quality and distinctive taste experience of a Krombacher lager. A Krombacher stands for naturally fresh beer enjoyment and a fine, spicy aroma. How many generations in the future, our passion is the preservation of this achievement.

Clear golden color, average sized white head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, malt, grain. Taste of malt, grain, green apples, caramel. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Sweet, slightly bitter taste. Not bad... For Pils standards, that is.

500ml can. Pours a clear, golden yellow with a one finger, white head that thins to a film and sticks to the glass fairly well. Aroma has notes of grains, traditional hops, and lager esters. Taste is a touch bitter but balanced. Traditional hops, malty grains, and a touch of creamyness. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Fuller mouth feel with a frothy carbonation and a dry finish. Overall a nice pils. Classic flavours and mouth feel. Would get again.

330ml bottle. Bottled on 23 Sep 2014, best before 23 Sep 2015. This bottle has found its way to me about half way through its shelf life. It pours a very clear golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is clean, but malt accented with no hop presence. The flavor is also very clean with a sweet malt aftertaste. This is a typical modern German Pils: no faults, but not much else either. They need to bring up the original gravity from 11.2% to something over 12%. Then up the IBU´s from the current 26 to 36 and you might get a real Pilsener. Drinkable enough and better than other Europils like Carlsberg, Stella and Heineken, but not by much.

Clear golden color, small white head. Malty aroma, not impressive at all. Same goes for the taste. Thin body, watery, average carbonation. Not that gross, but way too watery.

Draft at Scandinanian Restaurant in Reykjavik The pils poured a clear light amber with a nice head in a tulip glass. There was good lacing. The pils had a medium body with average carbonation. The aroma was malty and bready. The taste mirrored the aroma. The finish was clean and dry. The beer went well with the mushroom soup.
