Why should we strive constantly to try to improve an already excellent flavor ever? It is one of our strengths, we can recognize that when a product perfected and completed in flavor. We believe in modern continuity and stability as strengths of Krombacher - constant in quality, resistant to the taste. An achievement that we will not sacrifice lightly. The Christmas Song tells the quietly resting at sea, as we feel it with our beer. In peace lies both the strength and the indulgence.

Nature has provided us with its mountain spring water ® richly rewarded. We also feel this as a mandate and responsibility to consider also Krombacher Pils as a gift and preserve this jewel of nature pure. The mountain spring water ® is the most important component for the unique quality and distinctive taste experience of a Krombacher lager. A Krombacher stands for naturally fresh beer enjoyment and a fine, spicy aroma. How many generations in the future, our passion is the preservation of this achievement.

Life seems to have thrown a few of these commercially brewed European lagers at me lately, thanks to special offers at cheap outlets, and I’ve appreciated of all of them, much to my suprise. This one is particularly nice. 500ml bottle served cold in a large tulip, Beautiful clear gold with a generous white foam. Lemon aroma, fig and dry biscuit flavour. Medium bodied sharp and clean. Good reminder that it’s not all micro-brewery’s, craft beer, dark IPA’s and experiments. Trust it to be the the bloody Germans though!

Average big market Pilsener with nothing special about it. There´s nothing really bad about it, it was ok to drink when no other beer was available. It was also as unexciting as expected though.

From tap. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma of grains, malts, grass. Medium body with average carbonation. Medium to light bitter taste. Yet another "purity law" beer.

The commercial deScription is remarkably ironic, I suppose. There is certainly nothing forward-thinking about this beer. Overly carbonated. Smells a bit like hay. Weirdly savoury. Meh.

Light golden color. Clear. Very light aroma, a bit of maize, biscuit, and very little hops. Bright, dry and hoppy flavor. Hoppier than the average pilsner. Better than average for the style.

Very good, fluffy white head leaving lacerings over clear metallic golden beer. Pale malts, dry but with a certain sweetness in the nsoe. The German word "Feinherb" catches it perfectly. Light sweetish main flavour, with a bitterish, faintly metallic, herbal hoppiness. Finish has also a point of DMS. Aftertaste returns with a bit of (white) bready sweetish-ness. Medium carbonation, light body, faintly slick. One of Germany’s classics. It’s a fluid cliché, but it works still.

Clear pale straw color with moderate activity. White 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with good legs. Faint citrus smell. Flavors of sweet grains, corn, lemon, banana, honey, vegetal, herbal spices. Well balanced sweet taste with a nice sharp crispy feel. Grassy and slightly syrupy. Medium body with prickly carbonation. Faint finish of medium length, ending with a slightly bitter and skunky noble spices. Overall a decent craft with nice flavors, but a little faint, and some good freshness.

Clear yellow, medium head. Aroma: mostly grains, malt, almost no hops. Taste is malty, lightly sweet, with low but decent bitterness, better than in most cheap lagers, very drinkable.

Słomkowe, klarowne piwo o obfitej pianie, która zdobi szkło i pozostaje do końca w formie mgiełki. Aromat i smak głównie słodowy. Goryczka średnia. Ogólnie typowy niemiecki pils, szału nie ma, ale pije się przyjemnie.
