UPDATED: OCT 18, 2014 Looks like a nice Weizen. Yellow-orange colour, hazy liquid and big white, stable foam. The taste isn?t too bad. There are hints of banana and apricot. Carbonation is good. There is only a short to non-existent finish. Quite good for a non-alcoholic beer. My favourite one after running and on warm summer days.

Mökillä. This could be quite ok regular hefeweizen and as a low alcohol beer it was really good!

33cl bottle. The national sports drink of germany haha. I like na weissbeirs, they still retain beer qualities and gives you energy. It’s what plants crave.

330 mL bottle. Pours hazy apricot with a dense white head of uneven bubbles. Banana, peach and clove on the nose, earthy hop. Slightly musty. Sweet with a touch of fruity acidity and nominal bitterness. Creamy on the palate with above average carbonation. Not a bad NA. Makes mowing the lawn at lunch time easier.

Bottle. Most alcohol free beers are awful. This one wasn’t bad. Hazy, gold color. Nice head. Aroma was banana, a little spice. Taste was sweet, banana, spice.

0,5l Flasche.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a massive white head. Grainy notes, some bananana in aroma. Sweet wheat in taste mostly. A bit watery, but on a warm summer day this could be quite ok.

I figured this would be some strange stuff and it is. It looks more or less like a run of the mill hefezen, cloudy w/ a big head of medium bubbles. It sort of smells the part too w/ a mild banana note in the nose. Whatever process they used to get the alcohol out of this though seems to have done some weird business w/ the phenols in this. Where you would normally expect cloves and bananas, you get an almost smokey character out of this. It is not chemical tasting or anything, just a bit odd.The texture is at least pretty close to the highly carbonated creamy texture appropriate to the style so points for that. I cant say this is terrible but other than the curiousity of drinking an acohol-free weizen, there is no real reason to try this.
