Pints on tap. Opaque orange-gold with a small covering of bubbles. Aroma is mostly spicy clove and banana. Flavor is more balanced with some caramel and wheat countering the spicy clove and banana. Finish has a hint of resin. Near-medium body has medium-high carbonation and is well balanced. Not as good as the Bavarian Hefeweizens, but pretty decent.

On tap at that beer mecca called the Frankfurt Airport. Beautiful foamy head and foggy orange body. Strong fruits on the nosr, peach, orange. Good refreshing wheat flavour with citrus hints and slight grain notes. Maybe nothing unique but very well made.

50cl bottle. Hazy yellow with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice sweet and bitter tones. Wheat, banana, citrus and vanilla. One of the better hefeweizen.

Quite good Hefeweizen. More bananas than cloves in aroma, correct appearance, taste as it should be.

Villa Market 160 baht. Not top flight hefe but good enough. Flavours are a bit low key and perhaps the bottle was a touch old? Soft citrus and just the faintest hint of spice lurk.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Nose is sweet banana, wheat. Tastes wheat, light banana, light bitter, not much spiciness. Not bad but not the best example of the style either.

Aromas of bubblegum and banana. Medium to high sweetness. Light and easy drinking. Smooth finish. Low acidity. Banana notes. Not excessively phenolic. This is a very easy to like weizen, but won’t blow one away.

Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Bridge Street. Dark gold, cloudy. Sourdough and lemon on the reserved aroma. Sweet yeasty taste with a slight funky tartness. Surprisingly short finish. Not one of my favourite hefeweizens but drinkable enough.
